Christ will even now as always, be exalted- Phillipians 1:30
Our Churches and people need to answer the question “who do you say I am?” in regard to Jesus. Our lives are bu9ilt for, and around Jesus, and yet he’s so small in our lives and hearts. We need to re-orient ourselves around Jesus because if we don’t were missing the point . This book is a re “presenting”, as they put it, of Jesus Christ. This chapter says it beautifully that Christ is the divine tuning for to the eternal. “Heaven’s tunning fork continues to strike today, but whenever we Christians fail to hear it, we lose our way”. This is amazing and crucial.
“Jesus is the gravitational pull that brings everything together and gives it meaning. Without him all things lose their value.” The book continues that Jesus is being replaced with an ideal or belief, rather than a person. People value everything from values and virtue yet Jesus narrative is the “interpreting system” for all systems. This book draws me to a conclusion on theology. Although i passionately read it, it complicates. Simplicity isn’t a sin, and it is where a life that follows Christ lies. Jesus loves us is the creed that we as people need to embody. Jesus is the only theology and focal point in our faiths, because at the very core Christian faith merely means people who are in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
